The Mini Maniac Youth Triathlon is for kids aged 7-17. The race starts with an open water swim in Smith Point Bay. Athletes bike along Fire Island Beach Rd, then run through two tunnels with a boardwalk view of the Atlantic Ocean. A Duathlon option is new this year: a Short Sprint into Transition, Bike then Run. Every participant receives a race medal and swag. Top three girls and boys in each age group receive podium awards.
