Mountaineer 5K 2027

The Mountaineer 5K is a 5-kilometer race in Chandler, Arizona, starting at 8:00 AM from the Summit Academy Junior High Track. It is organized by the Summit Academy Parent Teacher Organization and benefits the Summit Academy Mountaineers. Runners, walkers, and people with strollers can enter, while pets, roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not permitted on the course. The route begins with one loop around the junior high track, proceeds onto the canal for most of the distance, and returns to finish at the school track. The race is chip timed, with water stations on course, finisher medals, post-race food and drinks, and age-group awards across children’s, teen, adult, and older runner categories. Packet pickup is offered the day before, same-day registration is available, and parking is located at the Desert Oasis lot.
