Shadow of the Giants 50K 20K 2027

Shadow of the Giants is a 50K and 20K trail race held at Camp Green Meadows Outdoor School in Fish Camp, California, within the Sierra National Forest. Both the start and finish are at the camp. The 50K provides ultrarunners a full day on forest trails, while the 20K offers a shorter option during the same race weekend. The race has a firm afternoon cutoff, and 50K participants may use an early start for additional time on course. The route follows historic trails through the forest, with aid stations positioned every 5 to 7 miles. These stations are supplied with food, gels, electrolyte drinks, water, and snacks. Camp Green Meadows is integrated into the event: runners can collect bibs there, opt for first-come bunks if they provide their own bedding, and purchase a pre-race lasagna dinner if they pre-ordered. Post-race, food and drinks are available at the camp. Parking is limited around the campus; runners familiar with the area sometimes park off Jackson Road near the final turn, allowing for a brief walk to the finish.
