Stronger Families Safer Kids 5K

The Stronger Families Safer Kids 5K is a run/walk in Oxnard, California. The start and finish are at 1601 S Harbor Boulevard. It begins at 8:00 a.m. PDT and concludes in late morning. This is the event's sixth annual edition. The race supports the Designated Child Abuse Prevention Council of Ventura County and its efforts for safe, healthy, peaceful families. The Partnership, a collaborative nonprofit, has over 20 years of experience in interagency coordination, advocacy, public awareness, and education to prevent child abuse, neglect, and family violence. Its family-strengthening focus includes early care and education. The 5K is therefore linked more to a local prevention mission than to competitive racing.
