T-Bred 5K and 1 Mile Trot 2026

The T-Bred 5K and 1 Mile Trot is a school PTO race held at Northside Elementary School and Walter Bradley Park in Midway, Kentucky. The event features a chip-timed 5K run/walk, an untimed 1 Mile Fun Walk, and a virtual option for those unable to attend in person. It is geared towards families, offering commemorative shirts, complimentary race photos, and post-race food, drinks, music, and socializing. The 5K course follows paved country roads near Midway, providing a small-town Kentucky setting rather than a closed urban circuit. Awards are extensive for the 5K, including overall male and female prizes and top male and female finishers in age groups from children to 75 and above. Northside Elementary students from kindergarten to fifth grade compete in separate Fastest Kid races within the school bus loop, with one race per grade. Registered 5K or mile participants can enter these races for free, and all participating children receive a medal.
