The 27th Quivering Quads Trail Race will be held on Sunday, October 25th, at Cuivre River State Park in Troy, Missouri. The event will feature a half marathon and an 8-mile race. The courses will include climbs, descents, and creek crossings through forests with fall foliage. Runners can expect Ozark-like views, including bluff views. The terrain will consist of a mix of wide fire roads, narrow single-track trails, rolling hills, and steep climbs. Participants should be prepared for rocks, roots, and mud, typical of Midwest trails. Several creek crossings will occur through the bottomland forest of Big Sugar Creek. The event aims to provide challenges for all skill levels while showcasing the scenery. Participants will receive a long-sleeve shirt, a custom finisher medal, and post-race refreshments including flapjacks, snacks, and beer from Urban Chestnut. Registration is limited to 400 participants. Runners will start in waves of 30 to 35 participants, seeded by predicted pace for the half marathon and 10K races.
