Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot 10K & Mile

The Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot is a holiday race held at the Mt Trashmore YMCA in Virginia Beach, offering a 10K and a one-mile run on the same morning. It is designed for families and runners of various skill levels, featuring discounted youth entries and a short race option suitable for children, novice runners, or those seeking a less strenuous start to their day. The mile race follows an out-and-back course beginning and ending at the YMCA. The certified 10K also starts at the YMCA, proceeds through Windsor Woods and Mt Trashmore City Park, and concludes back at the YMCA. Strollers are permitted from the rear of the field, but dogs are prohibited. All finishers receive a medal, every participant is given a long-sleeved shirt, and the event concludes with refreshments, a post-race gathering in the parking lot, and age-group awards.
