The Utica National Kids Run is a morning race for children held on the Utica campus of Mohawk Valley Community College in New York. It features short, age-based distances: a quarter mile for ages 4-6, a half mile for ages 7-8, three quarters of a mile for ages 9-10, and one mile for ages 11-12. A quarter-mile event is also available for children with special needs, open to ages 4-16.
The run is part of the Boilermaker Health & Wellness Expo, placing it within a larger race-week context. Families collect race packets, T-shirts, and safety bracelets during the expo at MVCC's Jorgensen Center. This setup organizes the event around parents and children alike. The format is straightforward: younger children run the shortest course, older children cover slightly more distance, and all participants race on the same campus at 1101 Sherman Drive.
