Ash Rd and Onslow St set the tone here: straightforward road racing, no fuss, and the first race of the 2026 Winter Season. Chidlow A - Road Race is a graded scratch road race for men and women cyclists aged 30 and older, with the practical rhythm of a club winter opener. Entries are taken at Chidlow Tavern from 7:45am.
The circuit rolls east on Ash Rd, left onto Doconing Rd, north-west, then left onto Old Northam Rd before returning and turning up to the finishing line at Onslow St. It sounds like the kind of course where positioning matters lap after lap, especially before that final turn up to the line. Collect your number at least 15 mins before the race start, and note the club quirk: WCMCC members who have helped in an unpaid capacity can claim a free race for Volunteer Duties.
