Perth Hills Gran Fondo
Domenica, Maggio 24, 2026 · Gooseberry Hill, Australia
Luogo di partenza
Gooseberry Hill, WA
Informazioni su questa gara
Gooseberry Hill Hall anchors this 3rd edition, with the ride starting from Ledger Road and traversing the Perth Hills. The route includes Kalamunda, Gooseberry Hill, Boya, Darlington, Mundaring, Carmel, and Pickering Brook, promising significant climbs over flat terrain. The Perth Hills Gran Fondo has history, originating from the “first ever Gran Fondo ever held in Western Australia in 2014.”
This is an open-road event, subject to WA Road Rules, with event signage, traffic management, hydration and food stops. The course features substantial climbing and descending, requiring well-prepared legs and brakes. It attracts community participation, with riders aged 12-17 needing adult supervision and those under 12 not allowed. The event's rescheduling due to Tropical Cyclone Narelle, invoked under the “act of God clause,” is part of its lore. The charity cause is straightforward: “Make every kilometer that you ride assist Street Friends WA.”
