The Borovitza Bike and Duathlon begins and ends at Borovitsa Winery, near the Belogradchik Rocks in northwestern Bulgaria. This autumn event is for cyclists and run-bike racers, with all participants starting at 10:00. The cycling race provides two options: 43 km with approximately 1,200 m of elevation gain, or 28 km with approximately 700 m of elevation gain. The duathlon includes a 45 km bike leg followed by a 10 km run.
The courses utilize roads and trails surrounding the rock formations near Belogradchik, and GPX tracks are available for the bike and duathlon routes. Duathletes switch shoes at the winery, store their bikes near the barrels, and then run towards the Borov Kamak Sanctuary. The bike race marks its tenth year, while the duathlon is in its fourth. Participants who pre-register receive a bottle of Borovitsa wine in their starter pack. The prize draw features two hot-air balloon rides over the Belogradchik Rocks, one awarded to a duathlete and one to a rider from the 43 km course.
