Dark & Dirty 2026

Dark & Dirty is a summer night trail run held at Batawa Ski Hill in Batawa, Ontario, part of Quinte West. Participants select either a 7K or 14K distance. The run begins after sunset, requiring all participants to carry a headlamp. Manual timing is used, with aid stations available and finisher medals awarded. The course follows the ski hill's trails, presenting runners with rocks, roots, stumps, and hills instead of smooth road surfaces. The route is clearly marked, and the 14K distance includes support at the halfway mark. Local draw prizes and an energetic local crowd contribute to the race's small-community atmosphere, distinct from a polished big-city event.
