Informazioni su questa gara
Vom See zum Schloss Ultramarathon is a small, flat trail run in Münster, starting and finishing at the Parkplatz Mühlenhof-Freilichtmuseum. Runners set off at 7:30 AM and cover about 46 km by repeating an 11.5 km loop four times, with an 8-hour time limit plus whatever tolerance the organizer allows. A 23 km half-marathon option uses two laps of the same setup. The field is deliberately tiny: 30 places for the ultra and 10 for the half marathon, with a 5 euro entry fee paid in cash on race day.
The route runs by the Aasee and through the Schlossgarten, so it feels more like a shared public-space run than a closed-road event. The course is not marked, and runners are expected to use a GPS track or stay with someone who knows the way; final route details are sent in the week before the run because construction work or local events can change the exact line. Participants are also told to watch out for cyclists, walkers, and restaurant visitors near the lake. Timing is done by hand by Susanne Laig, and Uwe Laig is the contact person, which fits the low-key, locally organized feel of this third edition.
