Informazioni su questa gara
The Bitburger Stadtlauf begins and ends at St. Martin-Schule on Kölner Straße in Bitburg, Rhineland-Palatinate. This September road race features short children’s races, youth races, a 5 km run, 5 km walking, and a 10 km main race, the Weiler-Bau Hauptlauf. The programme begins with 200 m and 300 m events for the youngest children, followed by a 1 km buddy run, a 5 km run for youth and general participants, and the main 10 km competition. Chip timing is employed for the main events, with the chip integrated into the bib, eliminating the need for participants to provide their own.
Laufgemeinschaft Die Eifelläufer organizes the event, which is structured for local families, school-age runners, club members, walkers, company teams, and adults seeking a direct town race. Changing rooms and showers are provided at the venue. Entry fees and donations benefit regional inclusion projects for individuals with disabilities, and the race includes specific categories for participants with disabilities. Awards extend beyond the fastest runners; age-group winners, the largest team, and company teams are eligible for trophies or material prizes, while the top three finishers in the 10 km main race receive goods.
