6. Weezer Sommerabendlauf 2026

The Weezer Sommerabendlauf is a Friday evening summer running event held in Weeze, a town in North Rhine-Westphalia situated near the Dutch border. The primary public races include a 3k and a flat 5k run/walk, complemented by children’s and youth races. All events conclude at Cyriakusplatz in the center of Weeze. The event now begins from Vittinghof-Schell-Park, having relocated there after its initial edition. Over 600 runners completed that first event. Following two canceled editions, participation has resumed, with recent events attracting several hundred participants. This is a local club race organized by TSV Weeze’s athletics section, focusing on short evening distances rather than a long road-race format.
