Informazioni su questa gara
The Ampermarathon is a spring running event in Olching, near Munich, organized by the Bürgervereinigung Schwaigfeld. Participants can select a full marathon, a two-thirds marathon, a one-third marathon, or a three-person marathon relay. The full marathon consists of three laps of a 14.065 km loop, allowing relay teams to divide it into one lap per runner. This is a small local race, with approximately 300 runners anticipated, and it has been held since 2022.
The route crosses the Amperauen, the riverside meadow area along the Amper, with aid stations positioned along the course. The field includes local club runners, regional marathoners, relay teams, and recreational runners seeking a manageable race close to Munich instead of a large city marathon. Recent events have seen several course records, including a close men's finish decided by ten seconds and a women's winning time just over three hours. A samba group, Go>>Brasil, has performed on the finish straight, adding a more spirited, local atmosphere to the final stretch than the race's modest scale might imply.
