Dortmunder Friedenslauf

The Dortmunder Friedenslauf begins and ends at the Vereinszentrum Kochschule on Westerwikstrasse in Dortmund-Kirchlinde, with the primary route directed towards the Rahmer Wald. TSV Kirchlinde organizes this event annually on Whit Monday, providing 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon races, alongside a 10 km walking option. Separate races are available for younger participants: a free 300 m Bambinilauf and a 1.2 km Schülerlauf. The course incorporates both roads and gravel paths, featuring an incline and numerous trees that offer shade during sunny conditions. The 10 km route crosses the Rahmer Wald once, distinguishing it from a simple flat city road race. This event is also part of a Dortmund race series with other locations, including Hoeschpark at the series' commencement and a concluding race in Westfalenpark.
