The 2025 Großauheim short-distance regatta offered a full spectrum of weather conditions, from summer heat to continuous rain and choppy water. Despite this, 20 athletes competed fiercely in over 50 races. For the new children's coach Leonie Löwe, it was her first regatta, where she coached a ten-person group that achieved ten victories among the 13 and 14-year-olds. In the B-juniors, Viktoria Vaerst debuted with two strong second places in single sculls. The A-juniors also saw success, with Luca Herget winning his first single scull race and the group of seven athletes securing four victories. Masters rowers Amelie, Katharina, and Frank demonstrated their experience with multiple wins in various boat classes and combined teams. The races were highly competitive across all age groups, creating excitement on the water and enthusiasm on the shore, with an excellent atmosphere among spectators and athletes. A minor disappointment was the inability to field a boat in the Hanauer Stadtachter this year, but the club aims to compete strongly in this traditional discipline next year.
