The Meller Volks-Triathlon is a sprint-distance triathlon held in Melle, Lower Saxony, during June, organized by SC Melle 03. It is centered at the Grönegaubad and follows the accessible “Volks-Triathlon” format, featuring individual competition and a relay option, not exclusively a field of specialist triathletes.
The standard race consists of 400 metres of swimming, 16 kilometres by bike, and 5.5 kilometres of running. The event also includes a duathlon. Entry lists indicate approximately 250 individual starters and about 40 relay participants. With editions now in their high thirties, it is an established town race focused on local sport, with spectators near the pool area and mixed participation from solo racers, teams, and individuals trying the format in a smaller setting.
