Spatzenberg-Lauf

Spatzenberg-Lauf is a running event in Löhne, Germany, held on the first Sunday after Pentecost. It starts and finishes at Sportplatz Obernfeld and offers a hilly set of races: a 9 km Volkslauf, a 6 km jogging and company run, and a 3 km schoolchildren's run, with 10 km also listed in the event program. The course is a loop around and over the Spatzenberg nature reserve, mainly on paved paths and roads. It usually draws a few hundred runners, giving it the feel of a local club race. Turn- und Rasensportverein Löhne 1910 runs the event through its running group, with bib-chip timing, bag drop at the sports field, race-morning pickup, and water at the finish.
