Sternchenlauf

The Sternchenlauf is a road-running event held in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock on the Wednesday before Corpus Christi. SV SW Sende Laufbewerbe organizes the event from Falkenstrasse 113, near the SW Sende Waldstadion, offering races for young children, school-aged runners, individual adults, teams, and relays. The schedule progresses through the afternoon and evening: a 400-meter Bambinilauf, a 1 km children's run, 2.5 km and 5 km school races, followed by the main 10 km Sternchenlauf. The 10 km event accommodates three-person teams and four-person relays, distinguishing it from a typical individual road race. One past edition saw 1,740 participants start, and all finished; local reporting characterized the day as a mix of ambition, euphoria, and respect.
