Temnitzer Heide-Lauf 2026

The Temnitzer-Heide-Lauf is a running event held in early September in Temnitztal, Brandenburg, starting on the sports field in Rägelin. Participants can select a full marathon, half marathon, 10.5 km quarter marathon, 2.3 km youth race, or a 400 m run for children under eight. With a limit of 200 participants, it offers a local race day atmosphere rather than a crowded city event. The course crosses the Kyritz-Ruppiner Heide, a significant heathland area. Organizers characterize the race as challenging, not flat or easy. Established in 2019, it is included in the Prignitz-Cup. The schedule is family-oriented, beginning with the marathon, followed shortly by the children's run, and then the half marathon, quarter marathon, and youth race later in the morning. Volunteer firefighters from Amt Temnitz receive free entry, reinforcing the event's local community focus.
