Al Andalus Ultimate Trail 2026

The Al Andalus Ultimate Trail is a five-stage, 230 km ultramarathon in Granada province, Andalusia, based in and around Loja. It is a semi-supported footrace through the Poniente Granadino region, with runners covering the distance over five days instead of one continuous push. The event takes place in July, so heat is a factor alongside the distance and climbing. The route starts and finishes at Hotel El Mirador in Loja, sending runners out on technical trails, tarmac, mountain paths, and country roads through olive groves. Stage finishes lead to race village campsites in local towns, giving the week a moving-camp atmosphere rather than a single start-and-finish routine. The field draws runners from across the world, many returning for the Andalusian terrain, natural parks, and long hot days on foot.
