Carrera Popular Almenara 2026

The Carrera Popular Almenara de Tormes-Enusa is a 9.3 km road race in Almenara de Tormes, preceded by children's races. Participation and charity are central: one euro from each bib supports the Against Cancer Association. The inaugural main race attracted nearly 200 athletes, giving it the character of a village race with a competitive field, not just a small fun run. The race awards men's and women's champions. Dani Sanz Sanfructuoso won the men's event in 31:52, and Veronica Sanchez Romero won the women's in 38:01. Alberto Bravo and Jorge Nieto took second and third for the men, while Casty Garcia and Silvia Hernandez did the same for the women. The event also provides age category awards, a runner's bag with a commemorative T-shirt, a gift raffle, and concludes with a communal meal.
