CxM Faraján is a mountain race held in Faraján, located in Málaga's Genal region. Its operations hub is in Plaza de Andalucía. The long trail option covers approximately 23 km in a circular route, featuring about 1,373 meters of elevation gain. This marks the twelfth running of the event.
The course crosses Sierra Bermeja and the municipalities of Faraján, Jubrique, and Júzcar, utilizing paths, forest tracks, and firebreaks. Participants will pass Balastar, Chorreras de Balastar, and the Genal River. The route winds through chestnut, pine, and cork oak forests before ascending Pico Jardón, the course's highest point. Runners then descend back to Faraján via the Estepona path. Aid stations are positioned along the route, and awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each category.
