Pedalada Corriols de Canet

Pedalada Corriols de Canet is a mountain bike ride in Canet de Mar, located in the Maresme region north of Barcelona. It is organized as a non-competitive event for cycling enthusiasts, with participation limited to approximately 350 riders. The ride has been held for over twenty years and was established to encourage mountain biking, not as a formal competition. Riders can select either a shorter or a longer route. Recent versions have featured short circuits ranging from 14-17 km and long circuits from 26-31 km. The event begins at Villa Flora, with the course soon dispersing the field onto wider paths before transitioning significantly onto corriols, the narrow trails that lend the event its name. Approximately 90% of a recent published course consisted of these trails, with only occasional wider sections. Participants receive refreshments, beverages, a sandwich, and gifts upon finishing. Some editions have also included a raffle for sports equipment and other prizes.
