Salamanca

Salamanca's running is university-town flat through the city centre and along the Tormes riverbank, with the San Silvestre Universitaria UPSA as the local year-end tradition. Cyclists dominate here — the region is randonneur territory, hosting the Brevet 600 kms Amigos de la Bici and the Vuelta a Castilla y León, both epic multi-day rides across the Castilian plateau. Expect rolling farmland and long straight roads with minimal elevation around the city, but serious distance rather than altitude.
