La Nuit des Cabornes - 10 km 2026

The La Nuit des Cabornes 10 km begins at Salle Pierre Poivre in Saint-Romain-au-Mont-d’Or, located in the Monts d’Or near Lyon. This night trail race, an invited round of the Trail Tour Beaujolais, requires participants to use headlamps and rely on moonlight. The 10 km course is challenging for its length, featuring 1,050 meters of elevation gain, a single aid station, and approximately 60 percent technical terrain. The race crosses a protected natural area exceeding 7,000 hectares, revealing Roman remnants and ancient stone cabornes, which were small shelters for quarry workers. A section of the path traces the Roman Aqueduct of the Monts d’Or. The overall La Nuit des Cabornes event also offers a 23 km race, and participants in the Trail Tour Beaujolais receive a 500-point bonus in the series standings for competing in this invited event.
