Informazioni su questa gara
La Nuit des Cabornes begins in Saint-Romain-au-Mont-d’Or, at the base of the Monts d’Or near Lyon, sending participants into the hills after sunset. The event features two trail races: a 23 km route with approximately 1,050 m of elevation gain and one aid station, and an 11 km route with about 500 m of climbing and no aid station. Both races commence from Salle Pierre Poivre in the evening, requiring a headlamp as essential equipment.
The routes traverse the Monts d’Or massif, a protected natural zone covering over 7,000 hectares. Participants will follow marked trails passing ancient Roman remnants, historic cabornes (stone shelters), and segments connected to the Roman Aqueduct of the Monts d’Or. The race's character is influenced by the moonlight and the terrain's elevation. The longer course consists mainly of technical trails, while the shorter one still offers sufficient rugged paths and ascents to provide a genuine night run. Organized by SMON, the event also serves as an invited round of the Trail Tour Beaujolais, awarding finishers a 500-point bonus in the series standings.
