Les Foulées Giennoises is a road-running series held in Gien, a town in France’s Loiret department. Races are typically scheduled for early September. The event offers multiple race distances: 6 km, 8 km, 10 km, 13 km, and a half marathon (21.0975 km). Walking and Nordic walking options are available for the 13 km distance.
The event takes place in central Gien and is organized by Gien Athlé Marathon. The shorter races are suitable for less experienced runners, while the half marathon presents a greater challenge with 1100 metres of climbing. Even the 10 km course includes 110 metres of positive elevation. A past edition attracted 469 participants, giving it the feel of a local race day rather than a large city marathon. Amateurs, experienced runners, walkers, and Nordic walkers all participate on the same morning.
