St Hilaire-Mortain is a 16 km Nature Race in the Manche area of Normandy, connecting Mortain and Saint-Hilaire via a mix of road and greenway running. Avenir Athlétisme de Mortain organizes the event, which begins at 10 a.m. Participants can compete solo or in teams of two or four, with categories for men’s, women’s, and mixed teams.
The route incorporates the new greenway and proceeds towards a small Chapel before the challenging section near the finish. Course details indicate a length of approximately 15.75 to 16.7 km, with 200 to 300 m of elevation gain. Much of this climb is concentrated in the final 2 to 3 km, with one description noting an average gradient of 10% for that closing stretch. The race has been held for at least 25 editions. A recent event had 50 participants, raised 580 euros for the southern Manche oncology group, and recognized three runners.
