Cyclists head west into the Vosges foothills — the gravel and mountain bike options around Wangenbourg-Engenthal (Elsass'bike series) climb through forests to 500m, while the Randonnée De La Kirneck near Valff offers a 112km road touring route through Alsatian wine villages. The city itself is pancake-flat for easy training runs and canal-side bike commutes, but serious elevation work lies 40km away in the Vosges.
