Informazioni su questa gara
The Climb Alpe d'Huez is a mass-start cycling challenge in the French Alps, held in mid-June on the well-known road from Bourg-d'Oisans in Isere to Alpe d'Huez. Organized by the Alpe d'Huez Triathlon team, it presents riders with a straightforward, demanding objective: ascend the mountain as quickly as possible, using an individual time-trial format over a route of approximately 13 to 15 km.
The route follows the Alpe d'Huez ascent and its 21 marked hairpin turns, a very recognizable climb in cycling. The event is designed for more than just specialists; mountain enthusiasts, cycling fans, club riders, and friends can all participate in the same climb. The concept is simple: utilize a classic Tour de France-style road as a shared summer challenge, then gather everyone at the summit after the exertion.
