Trail des Caboués

Trail des Caboues is a mid-November road-and-trail race held in Annoisin-Chatelans, a village in Isere located less than an hour from Lyon. Participants can select a 23 km route featuring 880 meters of elevation gain, a 10 km route with 390 meters of climbing, or a 5 km option named La Lauze. A 950-meter children's race is also available, indicating the event caters to trail runners and families, not exclusively seasoned mountain runners. The main challenge is the longer race, La Nuisantine, while La Cabros offers a shorter, yet still hilly, exploration of the local terrain. The event is open to beginners and children aged three and up, with the kids' race being free. Aid stations and prizes are provided. Advance booking is necessary, and payment can be made online. Practical restrictions include a ban on animals and the event's inaccessibility for wheelchairs.
