Vinotrail is a trail-running event held in Montpeyroux, a wine village in Hérault, Occitanie, southern France, taking place in early November. The event typically offers a short trail of around 12 km, a 14 km route with approximately 500 meters of elevation gain, and a 30 km route with about 1,350 meters of elevation gain. A hiking option is also available for those who wish to enjoy the countryside without the competitive aspect.
The courses are technically challenging, providing a genuine trail-running feel, yet remain accessible for less experienced off-road runners, particularly the 14 km “Magnum” route. The 30 km race, named the “Jeroboam,” continues the wine theme, with wine tasting offered both on the course and at the finish line. Baudile Trail organizes the event, which includes a traditional post-race meal. Vinotrail is also part of the Hérault Valley “challenge 4 trails” series.
