The Lysefjorden Inn is a 62 km ultra-run tracing Norway's Lysefjord, beginning at Oanes kai and concluding in Lysebotn. This point-to-point mountain race, not a road ultra, features approximately 2500 meters of elevation gain and terrain demanding steady legs, mountain awareness, and respect for rapidly shifting weather.
The course ascends from Oanes into rugged terrain, crossing technical mountain trails, dense woodland paths, exposed ridges, and ancient stone steps before arriving at Lysebotn. En route, it passes two of Norway's significant cliff landmarks, Preikestolen and Kjerag, offering runners expansive fjord vistas when the climb, footing, and weather permit them to look up.
