Kepler Challenge & Luxmore Grunt 2026

The Kepler Challenge is a 60 km mountain run on the Kepler Track in Fiordland National Park, starting and finishing at the Control Gates of Lake Te Anau. The Luxmore Grunt is the shorter race in the same series, but it still asks a lot of runners over 27 km. The full Kepler route follows one of New Zealand's famous alpine tracks, while the Luxmore Grunt climbs to Luxmore Hut before turning back to the start. Both races draw runners from around the world for rough mountain terrain, long climbs, and big Fiordland views.
