Informazioni su questa gara
The Stalowa Wola Cross Duathlon takes place in June at Ciemny Kat, near the forest lodge on ul. Bojanowska in Stalowa Wola, Podkarpackie Voivodeship. It is a straightforward two-part competition: approximately 4 km of running followed by approximately 15 km on a mountain bike. Stowarzyszenie Rowerzysci ze Stali, the local cycling group, organizes the event, which includes chip timing, a starter pack, a finisher medal, and a recovery meal for participants.
The course follows marked forest trails around Ciemny Kat, distinguishing it from a flat road duathlon. Runners and cyclists will encounter roots, sand, mud, uneven terrain, climbs, and sharp turns. The route features checkpoints that must be passed to avoid disqualification. Volunteers and medical personnel ensure safety on race day. The competition is intended for adults and older teenagers; participants must be over 16, and those under 18 require parental consent. The event has completed its sixth and seventh editions, attracting participants from the region and those who prefer challenging terrain.
