On race day, the streets of Siechnice form a 5 km loop for both the 5 km and 10 km races. Kogeneracja Biegaj w Siechnicach is a city road race in Lower Silesia, held in May and organized by Stowarzyszenie Pro-Run Wrocław. The event is around its mid-teen editions, with KOGENERACJA from the Wrocław power plant group as title sponsor. It is designed for everyday runners and faster club runners alike: a recent edition saw nearly 700 participants in the main races, plus about a hundred children and teenagers in the side events. The route is certified, asphalt, and fast, suitable for runners aiming for a clear 5 km or 10 km time. Good conditions have led to many personal bests and course records in both main distances. The programme includes youth races, with three accompanying races alongside the main events. Finishers receive medals, refreshment points are available, and prizes are awarded by lottery among participants, with sponsor items such as Garmin watches among the awards. The organizer also publishes practical details for parking, runner instructions, and road disruption notices for residents, as the race uses the town’s streets.
