Rybnik sits in Poland's Upper Silesia region on relatively flat terrain around 270m elevation, making it a cycling hub for local road races and gravel events. The VIII Bike Race Zamyslow Gravel and Zawody Rowerowe (80km) draw riders across the surrounding Silesian plains and smaller valleys. Runners find the area low-key for distance running but duathlon racing—including the Wodzislawski Duathlon and Cross Duathlon events—is a local strength, mixing running and cycling on short, fast courses.
