Gare di 10K vicino a Carnoustie

La Glamis Castle Glow Run è una corsa notturna da 5K o 10K che si svolge a Glamis Castle, vicino a Forfar. Si parte alle 19:00 dall’ingresso principale del castello, e il percorso segue un sentiero illuminato all’interno del parco. È una bella occasione per vedere l’area dopo il tramonto, diverso da una gara normale di giorno. L’evento è adatto a trail runner, podisti, principianti e anche a chi ha già esperienza. Il 5K è aperto a chi ha almeno 12 anni, mentre il 10K è per chi ne ha 17 o più. Il tracciato fa il giro delle mura, tornando al castello sia all’inizio che alla fine, con il castello che fa da scenario sia alla partenza che all’arrivo.

This road running event offers three distances: a Half Marathon, a 7.5km race, and a 1 mile fun run, also known by the racecourse-style name “8 Furlong.” The Half Marathon course is flat and fast, suitable for runners aiming for a personal best or those new to the distance. The route traces the River Tay, goes by Scone Palace, and incorporates North Inch parkland before crossing parts of the city. Most of the course utilizes traffic-free park paths, riverside stretches, and paths around the racecourse, blending open green areas with urban running. The shorter races remain near the racecourse and adjacent paths, whereas the Half Marathon extends further along the river and through the adjacent parkland. Scone Palace provides the event's primary historical connection, linked to the Stone of Destiny and the coronations of Scottish monarchs.

La Scurry Around Tentsmuir Forest Trail Running Festival parte da Tayport, in Fife, con percorsi che si addentrano nel bosco di Tentsmuir, tra Dundee e St Andrews.
