Il RYR Endurance Race Weekend è un evento che fanno ogni anno a Owensboro, Kentucky, con marathon, half marathon, 50K ultra, 10K e 5K, tutto spalmato su due giorni. La struttura della marathon è un po' particolare: il sabato c'è una marathon con un time limit di 9 ore, e poi la domenica una marathon competitiva per chi punta al Boston qualifier o al personal best. Il percorso è un multi-loop out-and-back su una greenway asfaltata con pochissimo dislivello, che segue un ruscello, passa due laghi e attraversa zone boschive. Questo design a loop permette agli spettatori di vedere i partecipanti più volte da un unico punto, e i runner hanno a disposizione i classici aid stations e anche i tavoli per il supporto personale. La marathon del sabato condivide il percorso con la half marathon e la 50K, mentre quella della domenica ha un numero limitato di partecipanti e corre in esclusiva. Tutti i partecipanti ricevono una shirt, tutti i finisher una medaglia importante, e tutti i profitti vanno al Wendell Foster Center.

The Wendell Foster Half Marathon & 5K weekend is based in Owensboro, Kentucky. The race expo and check-in are held at the Owensboro Convention Center prior to race day. Runners collect bibs and shirts at the expo, which also features running gear, local vendors, hydration and nutrition products, photo opportunities, local organizations, and supporters of Wendell Foster. While Friday expo attendance is optional, all participants must check in before the race; early check-in helps reduce race-day lines. The 5K begins and ends at Smothers Park on the Owensboro riverfront, located at 199 West Veterans Boulevard. This race is open to all ages and suitable for walkers, joggers, novice racers, families, friends, and competitive runners. The event benefits Wendell Foster, and the 5K concludes with an official after-party at Goodwood.

The Friends of McCormick's Creek 5K Run/Walk is an annual 5K held in Owen County, Indiana. It is organized by the nonprofit Friends of McCormick's Creek and offers prizes for the top overall finishers among both runners and walkers. The race supports projects at McCormick's Creek State Park, including efforts to preserve, restore, manage, and interpret the park's natural and cultural heritage. Funds also go toward recreation improvements and free educational programs for park visitors of all ages. Participants registering by the shirt deadline receive a race shirt; additional shirts will be distributed as available after that date.
