Questo evento è un'esperienza Rock 'n' Roll San Jose, dove le strade si trasformano in un palco per concerti e un percorso di gara. La Bay Front Run parte e arriva su Bayfront Boulevard a Hercules, California, proprio lì vicino al Bay Front Trail. Le gare principali partono al mattino, mentre quelle per i bambini sono un po' più tardi. Aid stations are equipped with gels, trail mix, salty snacks, fruit, Coke, and Stroopwafels; however, participants must carry their own water between stations. Finishers receive a tech shirt and a medal, age-group victors are awarded trophies, and one participant receives the unique "Dead Last Finisher" award. Notably, dogs are prohibited despite the race's name.
