2026 Winters Spooktacular Fun Run and Costume Contest

The Winters Spooktacular Fun Run and Costume Contest starts and finishes at Rotary Park on Main Street in Winters, California. This Halloween-season run/walk is hosted by the Winters Runners and Walkers Club Charity as part of the three-day Winters Harvest Festival. It includes a 10K, a 5K, and a 1 Mile Kids Monster Dash and adult run/walk. The 10K starts first, the 5K follows, and the 1 Mile event goes later, allowing for both timed runners and families with children. All routes stay within the city of Winters, making this a local town event. The 5K and 10K are timed, with place awards for the top three men and women in each distance. The 1 Mile is untimed. Finishers receive race bibs, custom tech tees, and medals. 5K and 10K finishers also receive free Hooby's Beverages. Costumes are part of every race, with awards for Best Individual and Best Group in each event. Proceeds support outdoor fitness equipment for Winters Walnut Park, donated to the City of Winters.
