5K ESCAPE – Parranda Run

The 5K ESCAPE – Parranda Run is a Christmas-season 5K held at Paseo de las Artes in Caguas. It starts at 7:00 a.m. in early December. This event is designed as a family-friendly run or walk, open to participants aged 12 and older. The race is currently in its tenth edition. The route incorporates a Puerto Rican holiday atmosphere with Christmas music and hundreds of participants moving to the sound of jingle bells. Registered runners receive a chip bib, medal, and T-shirt. The first overall male and female finishers each receive $100, and all finishers are served asopao at the finish line. The race also generates funds for ESCAPE, a Family Strengthening Center focused on child-abuse prevention and family support.
