9th Annual Garland Guzzler 0.5K Run

The Garland Guzzler is a deliberately tiny 0.5K run in Garland, Texas, starting at 520 W State St and circling Garland City Square. It is in its ninth year and leans into the joke of treating half a kilometer like an athletic test. The short loop makes the race more of a downtown party than a hard run. Participants receive custom medals and race T-shirts, and the event includes music, games, and family activities around the course; the organizer’s line sums it up: “Come for the race, Stay for the party!”
