AdventHealth Avista Louisville Turkey Trot

The AdventHealth Avista Louisville Turkey Trot is a 5 km Thanksgiving morning run in Louisville, Colorado. It starts at 9:00 a.m. near Front Street and Spruce Street, with the listed start address at 951 Spruce Street. It began as a free community run focused on collecting food and donations for Community Food Share, the local food bank serving Boulder and Broomfield Counties. The race route centers on downtown Louisville, not a remote trail or point-to-point course. Registration is required, and the entry fee plus food donations go directly to Community Food Share, whose mission is to eliminate hunger in the surrounding counties. The event later became a public benefit corporation to support local social good. Every dollar donated is counted as six dollars' worth of groceries, and the race raised more than $92,000 in a recent edition.
