Around the Bend Five & Ten

Around the Bend Five & Ten is a fall running event in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, starting from First Baptist Church of Strawberry Plains on West Old Andrew Johnson Highway. Runners can choose a 1.6 km fun run, a 5K, or a 10K, making the day suitable for children, less experienced runners, and those seeking a longer local road race. The race follows the Big Bend route east of Knoxville, with both 5K and 10K courses situated in the Strawberry Plains area. Proceeds benefit First Baptist Church’s food pantry, The Blessing Box, which provides year-round assistance to neighbors without requiring an application. A portion of the funds also supports Tennessee Endurance, aiding local running athletes through competitive events and scholarships.
