Boot Run 5K - RGVLS Champs for Champions 2026

The cowboy-boot rule applies only to the untimed fun run, not the main race. The Boot Run 5K - RGVLS Champs for Champions takes place in February at 1000 N. Texas Ave in Mercedes, Texas. An 8:00 a.m. 5K is scheduled for runners and walkers age 11 and up, with two 1K events following for younger children and casual participants. The timed races, the Boot Run 5K and Kicks Run 1K, use age and gender divisions, award finisher medals, and provide prizes for the top three in each division. The Bull Run FUN RUN forgoes bibs, timing, and divisions. All participants wear cowboy boots, complete 1K at a relaxed pace, and a prize is given for the best pair of boots.
