Dash 4 Domestic Violence Awareness 5K

The Dash 4 Domestic Violence Awareness 5K is a community 5K run/walk held at Alexander Park in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Hosted by the Gwinnett County Solicitor's Office, this is the fourth annual event. It gathers runners, walkers, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters to focus on domestic violence awareness, with packet pick-up and registration beginning early. The route is a 5K within Alexander Park. The day offers more than just the race. Proceeds benefit Mosaic Georgia, Partnership Against Domestic Violence, and Ahimsa House, funding services like crisis intervention, emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, survivor support, prevention education, healthy relationship programs, and assistance for survivors needing to relocate pets. A recent edition saw 170 registered runners and raised $12,080. Past events have featured DJ Mercy, Zumba, line dancing, and fitness sessions from local gyms.
